Important Information and FAQ

  1. Who should attend the training? Anyone seeking lubrication excellence at the workplace should attend these training programmes. Lubrication activities are a key component in Reliability activities as proper lubrication leads to longer machine life as well as reduces downtime. Lubrication-Institute highlights ways to create a proper lubrication programme for your facility which is an important aspect of proactive maintenance.
  2. What are the benefits of this training? These training programmes will help you unlearn the myths and learn the facts about lubrication which have been a result of years of research and development. Inputs from this course result in large savings for your organization as well as allow you to understand the benefits of implementing a proper lubrication programme which not only reduces product consumption but also increases machine life and reduce downtime.
  3. I haven't done the basic course, is it advisable to take the advanced course directly? Even though we advise our participants to take the basic course before the advanced course as there may be a reference, if you have gained that knowledge during the process of your work-related duties, you can take the advanced course. Our basic training programmes also focus on eliminating some of the myths which exist in the industry and will prove to be beneficial during the advanced course.
  4. What course material is available with the training? We share hard/soft copies of the study material.
  5. What is the course outline? The outline for each course can be accessed by filling in a few details and downloading the brochure from the website.
  6. How long is the training?
    • Live-online interactive training program for a standard course may vary from  three to four days.
    • The face-to-face classroom training program for a standard course is for three days which includes the certification exam on the last day.
    • The in-house training program for a standard course may vary from two to five days based on the requirements stated and objectives of the training program.
    • The self-paced training program is available for selective courses for three months.
  7. What is included in my registration? Your Registration Fee includes the following:
    • Live, online, interactive: Training fees, hard/soft copy of manual.
    • Classroom training: Training fees, lunch, tea /coffee/snacks during the training on each day of the program, copy of manual.
    Note: You will get a one-year free subscription to a digital copy of Machinery Lubrication India magazine along with our digital newsletter/lube tips.

  1. What are the payment options? You can pay via:
    • A Demand Draft or payable at par Cheque drawn in favour of “VAS Tribology Solutions”, or
    • Electronic fund transfer (NEFT/RTGS). We will intimate the necessary details once you register.

    Mail the Cheque / DD (or email NEFT payment details) to us at the address mentioned alongside. Your registration is confirmed only after the success of your payment transaction.
  2. What is included in my registration? Your Registration Fee includes trainer fees, a handbook, and lunch and snacks on each day of the programme (Face-to-face Classroom). The certification after the test is optional and is not included in this fee.
  3. How do I register? You can register online. On receiving this we will get back to you based on the availability of seats and guide you through the rest of the Registration process.
  4. How do I get approval for the training? You may write to us stating your interest in the programme along with the contact details of the training representative. Our team will then help you take this ahead.
  5. Are there group discounts? Corporate / Group discounts are available. For nominations of 4 or more participants – 5%. For nominations of 6 or more participants – 10%.

1. You can’t come/join?  

That is disappointing. Well, things happen. You have a few options.

  • Send someone in your place: You can substitute a colleague up to 48 hours prior to the workshop with no charges or penalties. You can email the person’s name and contact information to us.

  • Reschedule to a future program: You also have the option of rescheduling to another training date/location in the future.

  • You will be refunded 100% on training charges (deducting the applicable transaction bank charges) three weeks before the training date for Classroom training. If it's lesser than three weeks' time, a 15% cancellation fee is applicable.

  • You will be refunded 100% on training charges (deducting the applicable transaction bank charges) two weeks before the training date for Live, online, interactive training. If it's lesser than two weeks' time, a 15% cancellation fee is applicable.

  • You will not be refunded any amount for cancellation on the day of training (some exceptions can be discussed).

  • You will not be refunded the applicable shipping charges. If the training manual has been shared with you, Rs. 20,000 will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • You will be assigned a digital training manual only after receiving the registration fee.

2. We fail to organize the training :

In case we fail to organize the training due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, fire, flight cancellations or pandemics), we shall:

  • Offer you a seat in any of our forthcoming programs. 

  • Provide you with a full refund subject to deductions mentioned in Sl no 1.  

  1. Is there a certificate at the end of the training? Yes, there is a certification test at the end of the training. This ICML certification is optional.
  2. Who awards this certification? The International Council of Machinery Lubrication (ICML) awards this certification. For more details, you may check www.lubecouncil.org
  3. Is the certification fee included in the training cost? No, there is a separate charge for the certification exam.
  4. What are the additional details of the certification test? For details on certification visit ICML website.
  5. What are the different levels of certification? The different levels of certification are MLA I, MLA II, MLA III, MLT I, MLT II and MLE.
  6. What is the importance of this certification? It is an international certification and is recognized all over the world and hence carries all the benefits of international certification.

  1. Does Lubrication Institute provide assistance with accommodation/travel bookings? Yes, we have specially negotiated tariffs with hotels and intercity travel during the training programme. In case you require assistance with your local arrangements, you can contact us via email stating your dates along with the other details and we will help you with the same.
  2. What is the location of the training? The exact location within the city is generally decided closer to the event and will be intimated to you via email and phone along with connectivity routes and directions.
  3. What are the training timings? The training timings are generally from 9 am - 5:30 pm. The timings of the training will be sent to you by email/phone well in advance. We accommodate the timings of the training according to the location.
  4. Who do I need to contact if I am running late? Each training location has a Lubrication-Institute representative whose details will be included in the email containing all the details. You may inform him/her in case of a delay.

  1. How does live-online training work?
    • You will be shared a meeting link well in advance along with a calendar invite.
    • You can send your questions to the presenter through chat at any time of the meeting. It will be answered at a convenient time. However, if the presenter has missed out on your question, you can unmute and ask the question.
  2. What are the system requirements for live, online, interactive training?
    • You will be provided with a test link to check your system compatibility for the meeting.
    • You will be provided with a video link on how to get started with the meeting platform.
    • Your training timing shall be intimated to you along with your joining link through registered email well in advance.
  3. Will I get a recording of the training? Yes, you will be provided with a recording link if you have missed the training due to unscheduled last-minute work that might come up. It will be available for a period of one month.

Lubrication Institute helps facilitate visa, travel and accommodation for all participants through our International Nominations desk at no extra cost.
  1. Visa Requirements: Lubrication Institute will help the nominee with all the procedures and documentation required for an Indian Visa.
  2. Accommodation: At each of our training locations, we have our partner hotels that provide special concessional tariffs which are extended to both our International and Domestic participants.
  3. Tours: India has a lot to offer in terms of tourism through our strong heritage and diverse culture. We would be glad to assist in case you wish to extend your training visit to see travel and visit some of the world heritage sites.
